Grexit

Grexit, shot in Mykonos, is a project that attempts to interrogate the ethical, political and affective realities of tourism during crisis. These photographs were taken during my own vacation to Greece in August of 2015 and shortly after The Guardian published an article encouraging a kind of solidarity tourism to Greece. In the days immediately preceding and following these photographs, Greek police attacked refugees in Kos, and SYRIZA leader and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has resigned and been re-elected.
